“Light Up the Sky” by Polartropica (Premiere)

When Ihui Wu isn’t playing keyboards for various indie acts (Sanglorians, Light FM, Simone White), she’s creating dreamy, orchestral synth-pop out of her cottage in Highland Park as Polartropica. Her forthcoming debut EP, Astrodreams, is chock-full with danceable pop beats, swirly synth arrangements, and video game-ish effects which she claims is a “space adventure that everyone can be a part of.” Here’s her first whimsical single, “Light Up the Sky,” which features Morgan Paros (of Sanglorians and Hunter Hunted) on violin.

“I can still feel the warm smile on your face.”

Polartropica will perform on December 19th at OSSO.
