"X22" Music Video by Big Black Delta

Approved-Side-Of-The-Road-Jonathan Bates’ digi-pop solo project Big Black Delta made such strong splash with their recent self-titled album (which features appearances from Alessandro Cortini of Nine Inch Nails and SONOIO and Morgan Kibby of M83 and White Sea) that his previous band Mellowdrone might just become a footnote. BBD‘s first single “Side Of The Road” was accompanied by a phenomenal Troninspired music video directed by Warren Kommers, but their next music video is a hyper-gore femme fatale short film with the latest single “X22” as the score. Directed by Eli Berg of Mustache Monocle Films, the video’s visuals are shocking but fitting for the track’s heavy pulse-driven beats and grumbled vocals. Don’t forget to breathe…

Big Black Delta will perform tonight at The Del Monte Speakeasy in Venice Beach as the “special live guests” for longWKND‘s 2nd B-Day Celebration along with local DJ’s Guns In The Sun.
