Memorial Day weekend has past which means it’s Summer Twins time again! The adorable (not actually twin) sisters from Riverside know how to melt hearts with their ingénue charm, twee style, and dreamy harmonies and with their new EP Forget Me coming out on June 4th via Burger Records, they’ll do it again.
Recorded by Mark Rains at Station House Studio, the songs are reliably buoyant, whimsy, and coated in enough sunshine pop to suit either a beach bash or drive-in diner. And of course, the album also includes a cover of “All I Have To Do Is Dream” by The Everly Brothers. Burger Records will also be releasing two of the EP tracks (“Forget Me” and “I’m No Good”) on a 7″. But for now you can enjoy them here:
This Monday, Free Bike Valet is presenting Summer Twins’ first residency for the month of June at The Bootleg. The theme is “’50s Nite!” with additional performances by Heroes And Heroines and Michael Rey And The Woebegones. Dressing in vintage is encouraged and admission is free!
If you can’t make it this Monday, you can catch them another week (and yes, every show has a different theme).
