"Just One Kiss" and "Two Weeks" Live Video by Heroes And Heroines

R1-01976-0011South Bay natives Heroes And Heroines are all dudes, but maybe the “heroines” quit the band and they just kept the name. Now, the quartet (half are cousins) writes what they call “bubblegum punk” at their new house in Highland Park. Last year they released their debut 7″ with two surf-pop rock tracks that were recorded on analog at The Distillery in Costa Mesa.

Recently they acquired a MCI JH 24 2″ tape machine and began recording analog on their own. The sonic result is a vintage vibe of nostalgia that superbly captures the garage pop rock and surf party culture of yore. Soon, a five song EP will be released which will include the fuzzy pop gem “Just One Kiss”:

Free Bike Valet presents Heroes And Heroines next show at The Bootleg for Summer Twins‘ first residency night on Monday, June 3rd. Also performing is Michael Rey And The Woebegones. The theme is “’50s Nite!” and dressing in vintage is encouraged. Also, admission is free!
